Breaking Molds to Shape the Future

The 2010 Interim Meeting held January 23-27, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee  was a great success with 148 registered attendees. Many first time attendees from various industries expressed admiration and respect for the process NCWM uses to gather information from qualified sources, lending credibility to the standards that are ultimately put in place.

This was a year of diverse issues including agricultural seed sold by count, animal bedding, bagged mulch, biodiesel, moisture loss allowance for pasta, hydrogen fuel quality standards and a tentative code for hydrogen measuring devices. A special open meeting was also held to discuss the Verified Conformity Assessment Program (VCAP).

Much appreciation is expressed to the Committee members who put in long hours to prepare, listen, deliberate and develop their reports and agendas for the Annual Meeting in July. Their dedication combined with the thoughtful participation of all who attended make the standards development process work for everyone.
